Tripura University offers MD and MS at the PG level for Medical Stream. The final admission to various specialisations of MD and MS are based on NEET PG scores followed by the counselling. At the PG level, Tripura University offers two-year MBA courses to students. The basic eligibility criteria for the MBA course is bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate. The accepted entrance exams are MAT, XAT, CAT, CMAT, TUET, CUET-PG, and others. The students must keep their documents handy for admissions.

At Tripura University placements 2022, 141 out of 1,113 UG and PG candidates were placed. During placements in 2022, the median package provided to PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3 LPA and INR 2.60 LPA, respectively. The university has a good track record of alumni working with top companies such as TCS, HDFC Bank, Bandhan Bank, and many more. MBA students are eligible for placement in the fourth semester after the university prepares them for jobs on campus starting in the third trimester.

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme at Tripura University, applicants must have a graduation degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% aggregate for SC/ST candidates). Applicants must also have passed their Bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. 

Tripura University conducts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for admissions. 

Any national entrance test (MAT, CMAT, CET etc.) or TUET (Tripura University Entrance Test) followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

About 30% of students were placed in the college. Various private companies like Maruti Suzuki, TATA and Networking companies recruited mechanical engineers. Students got internships from various types of company. 

According to the report, a total of 141 PG students were placed during Tripura University placements 2022. The median package offered to PG (1-year) and PG (2-year) students was INR 3 LPA and INR 2.60 LPA, respectively. For PG (3-year) courses, the median package stood at INR 10 LPA.
