I do not think there is a provision for lateral entry in NIT. It is for state government college.

Is there a difference between biotechnology and B.Tech biotechnology?

I don't think so. Biotechnology is a branch in B-Tech. In AKTU, there is a separate paper for Biology students, and they can enrolled in B-Tech Biotechnology.
