During the IIITA 2022 placements, the highest package offered to an M.Tech student was INR 1.4 crore per annum as per the media reports. The highest package was offered by Google. NIRF has also ranked IIIT Allahabad at 93rd position under the Engineering category. However, both institutes are good options for M.Tech aspirants.

IIITA offers a four-year BTech as its flagship course. The UG-level programme is available in five specialisations, including Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), and IT (Business Informatics). Outstation students are not affected in placements as it is completly based on the skills of the students. Hence, the increase in competition has no much significant impact on the opportunities the university creates for students.
