While shortlisting institutes for the BVoc programme, the Padmashree Institute of Management and Sciences offers a number of key points to compare with it. The seat allotment process of PIMS BVoc is merit-based, specifically the performance of candidates in their Class 12. After the application deadline, the institute prepares a merit list for filtering students for admission. Candidates who are shortlisted will be informed about seat allotment through their registered mobile numbers or email addresses. Once candidates complete their admission processes, they have to submit the necessary documents and pay course fees. To this end, the admissions process usually ensures that seats are allocated based on academic performance.

The PIMS BVoc programme offers a total of 150 seats across specialisations. In this, 50 seats are available each for the BVoc in Food Processing & Nutraceuticals and the BVoc in Food Technology & Quality Management. This pattern of structured intake capacity reflects the kind of commitment PIMS is making to quality vocational field education, providing an enriching learning environment for all the enrolled students.

The selection procedure of the PIMS BVoc programme is merit-based; the candidates are mainly selected according to their performance in Class 12 exams. The institute prepares a merit list, considering all these results, for shortlisting the candidates for admission. After shortlisting, the enrolled candidates need to pay the admission fee and present original documents for verification towards final enrollment into the BVoc programme.

No entrance exam is required to join BVoc at PIMS. Admission takes place through merit scoring based on the previous qualifying examination, essentially Class 12 or equivalent qualification. The candidate is selected for admission through merit. The eligibility for admission will be based on the performance in the qualifying examination. Hence, the students who wish to join the PIMS BVoc programme must ensure all the qualifications to prepare before applying.

'Micro presentation' is basically an impromptu or extempore kind of presentation. It happens at the very end of the entire screening process and entrance exam. The Christ University Entrance Exam selection process includes Personal Interview and Micro Presentations. Candidates will get a topic to speak on for one minute. They have to speak as soon as they get the topic.

To tackle this round of the selection process, students can take a few seconds to understand the topic and then start talking about it. The topics asked are pretty generic like 'cyberbullying', 'menstrual hygiene', 'Brahmanical patriarchy', 'Indian Politics', etc.

Candidates must carry the Christ University CUET admit card to the exam centre. Candidates must also carry a government-issued photo ID proof for the verification process at the CUET test centre. Every candidate can also carry a simple blue or black ball point pen to the exam centre. They must not carry any other stationery to the exam centre. They must also not bring a bag as there will be no provision to keep the bags. They should also avoid carrying electronic devices such as watches, smartphones, calculators, etc.

Candidates will be allowed to carry a transparent water bottle to the exam centre too.
