Patna University, established in 1863 during the British Raj, is one of the oldest universities in the state of Bihar, India. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in science, arts, and commerce as well as some vocational courses like BBA, BMC, and BCA. It is also considered to be the oldest institution of higher education in Bihar.
Usually, this course is taken by aspirants who have already pursued a bachelor's degree in social work or related discipline. However, any candidate who has secured at least 55 percent marks in their graduation can apply for this course.
A Master of Social Work is a master's degree in social work. Students who want to do social work, or social activities, or want to work with NGOs can opt for MSW. Students can work as healthcare workers or mental health workers as well. It helps to pursue state licensure.
The university admits students based on both merit and entrance examination results. For different courses, different entrance exams are accepted by Patna University. For admission to M.A and MBA, the university accepts CAT/MAT/ATMA/JMET scores followed by GD & PI.
