The admission process for Dr. C.V. Raman University varies depending on the course you are interested in.  The university offers a wide range of courses, including engineering, B.Ed., Ph.D., and others. The admission process for each course is governed by respective ordinances and prospectus of the year.

• For engineering courses, admission to all five branches (CE, ME, EC, CS, EE) is done either through a university all India entrance test or by an entrance procedure laid down by DTE. Remaining seats are filled by direct admission based on merit and minimum eligibility criteria.
• For B.Ed., admission is based on the university entrance test. A merit list is prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test, and all seats are filled in order of merit.
• For Ph.D., admission is based on the entrance test followed by a personal interview (PI). Admission and conduct of the course are governed by Ordinance no. 16 and the PhD Information Brochure available at University Admission Cell.
• For all other courses except BE, B.Ed., and Ph.D., admission is based on the merit list made on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in the minimum eligibility qualifying examination laid down by respective ordinances.
