Yes, Johannes Guttenberg University Mainz accepts international students. The total student enrollment at the university is over 35,000. In the context of number of international applicants, about 4,200 international students from more than 130 countries are enrolled at JGU. In other words, international students at JGU constitute around 12% of the total student enrollment. A wide range of courses are also available to international students. Study areas at the university include Humanities, Social Sciences, Art, Natural Sciences, etc.

A few of the unofficial sources have mentioned that JGU Mainz acceptance rate is between 28% - 35%. The acceptance rate justifies that the university is quite selective. So, to take admission here, the university must have a good academic record and meet all the eligibility requirements. The general entry requirements are having a school leaving certificate while taking admission to bachelor’s courses. For admission to master’s courses, the applicants should have a bachelor’s degree.

Based on various unofficial sources, the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences has an acceptance rate of around 70% which makes it somewhat selective for admissions of international applicants. Some of the general admission requirements for international students are given as follows:

Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences does not charge any application fees for international applicants. The university will rather require the students to submit their German Language Proficiency scores to be considered for admission. The applicants who have not obtained any access to learning the German Language are required to submit the following scores to be accepted for admission: 

  • Must submit Level C1 of German Language upon the application submission. 
  • Goethe Certificate with a C2 Level of German Language
