The entry requirements for the University of Tuebingen for some Undergraduate and Master's courses are given below:
- A secondary school leaving certificate is required for admission to UG courses
- On the other hand, for admission to Master's courses, the applicants require a Bachelor's degree
A few of the documents required to apply are academic transcripts, English language proficiency test score, any other application materials, etc.

In the world rankings, the University of Tuebingen ranks at #222 in one of the world rankings. As per another world-ranking publisher, this university ranks at #100 position in 2025. In the National Universities ranking, this university ranks at #8 position among the international universities as per Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The University of Tuebingen ranking is #222 in the QS World University Rankings 2025. In the previous year, this university ranked #213 position in 2024, which shows there has been a slight decline in the rankings of this university. As per another world university rankings, this university ranks at #100 position in 2025. This shows that this university ranks among the Top 300 Universities globally. Though, in Times Higher Rankings, the university's position has declined as in 2024, this university ranked at #95 position.

International students at the University of Tuebingen have to pay Euro 1500 per semester (equivalent to INR 2 lakh). They are also required to pay Euro 199.80 per semester (Around INR 19k). The fees applicable for a few of the university's courses are:

No, International students have to pay fees while studying at the University of Tuebingen. They will be charged a tuition fee of Euro 1500 per semester. This is equivalent to INR 2 L or slightly more for a year. This is in addition to the general semester fee of currently Euro 199.80 per semester (Around INR 19k). Additionally, students have to pay the cost of living too. The living expenses per month for a university student at Tuebingen University is going to be around Euros 947 (Around INR 94k).

The University of Tuebingen is a public research university. This means it does not charge much of the tuition fees. However, international students are charged a fee of EUR 1,500 per semester (around INR 1.63L).
And, the University of Tuebingen was selected as one of Germany's universities of excellence under the German government's Excellence Initiative. It is one of the most respected universities in Germany.

The duration of the University of Tuebingen MSc in Machine Learning is 4 semesters. The language of instruction of this course is English. To take admission to this course, a Bachelor's degree is required in either Mathematics, Computer Science, Physics, or related Natural Sciences with a grade of 2.3. Additionally, a few course competencies are required. An English language proficiency score is also required such as TOEFL iBT with 94 points / IELTS with at least 7.0.

Yes, the University of Tubingen teaches in English. The language of instruction for Bachelor's and Master's courses is German and English. However, there are a few courses that are particularly just taught in English. A few of the courses that are just taught in English are:

For most of the courses, there is no tuition fee at TUM, but the students are required to pay the semester fee and living cost from their own pockets, although its very low in comparison to most of the other universities based in USA, UK or any other nation.
There are programs available at UG and PG levels, for which an international student doesn't have to pay any fee.
