No, there is no tuition fee for Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz for international students. However, every student is required to pay a semester fee, which is, €357.46. This fee includes the components for student ticket, student athletics committee, student body representative committee, etc. A few points that students have to keep in mind are:

• Students are required to pay the tuition fee, in addition to the semester fee if they start a second-degree programme after graduation or have already obtained a Master’s or Diploma programme or have completed a state examination programme and are now subsequently studying for a master’s degree
