The foundation year course or the Studienkolleg is a 1 year program which acts as a pathway for entry to Business courses at both public and private German universities. These are programs designed to help interenational students to integrate and get used to the country's higher education system.
A foundation course at the University of Europe for Applied Sciences costs around INR 13.2 Lakhs for a 9-month course. For a 1 year course with A2 language, it costs around INR 15.5 Lakhs.

Indian students need to demonstrate enough finances to fund their studies in Germany. For this, students need to open a blocked account in Germany. This blocked account needs to have a minimum INR 12 Lakhs to fund a year of living in the country. Students need to set up this account before applying for a German student visa.
Students would also need an valid health insurance before arriving in the country. This is mandatory for all. A public health insurance is generally a better option than a private one.

Yes, Indian students interested in admisison to a UG degree program have to take an entrance exam at University of Europe Applied Sciences. However, this is only required for admission to Art and Design course. The entrance test requires students to write a short essay on the programme they're applying for. Students don't have to prepare for the test.

No, Indian students are not known to pay an application fee at UE Germany. However, they may pay a small platform fee, during the application process. All students are required to submit a Common Application via the official university website. Students are advised to refer the same to know more about application related costs.

No, University of Europe Applied Sciences is not free for Indian students. Most public universities in Germany do not charge a tuition fees. They only charge a nominal per semester fees as administrative costs. However, the University of Europe for Applied Sciences UE is a private university, and not a public one. This means, Indian students would have to pay a tuition fees for the course they're interested in.
