Both are good institutes, but you can prefer MDI – Gurgaon as it is my first preference for you. It has good reputation.

If the group is already renowned, than there are chances. They will maintain the same standard, but still before taking admission, enquire about faculty, affiliation, etc. because standard changes with geography.

There is no concept of offering minimum packages in the above institutes. It depends on your academic excellency such as:
1. Graduation.
2. Valuable work experience, if any.
3. Excellent communication skills.
4. Your academic and extra-curriculum performances while pursuing PGDM/MBA/MMS.
Anyone, who follow above conditions can get good package in India and abroad.
