Himachal Pradesh Technical University is one of the best Technical University located at Hamirpur.The college provides great placement in IT courses. Admission to B.Tech is based on merit score of the entrance test or qualifying exam JEE. Candidate must have scored a minimum 50%  marks in 10+2 from recognised board of education 

 MBA/ MBA Tourism and Hospitality is a two year full-time Postgraduate programme offered by Himachal Pradesh Technical University.The  required  marks is 50% in graduation in any stream.Selection is done on the basis of scores of National level entrance test first.Then on the basis of HPCET scores on the basis of qualifying exam if the seats are still vacant.

A candidate is eligible for admission to MBA programme if he/ she has passed the Bachelor's degree from recognised University by securing 50% in the qualifying examination.The candidate must have qualified National Level Test like at, MAT, AICTE etc. or common Entrance Test conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University.The admission is done on the basis of merit depending on availability of seats in the institution.

Placements: About 70% of students were placed in our course. The salary package offered was 12 LPA to 15 LPA. The admission to M.B.A. degree course shall be made in the order of merit of Valid Score of National Level Tests CAT, CMAT, MAT etc. respectively. Seats will be filled on the basis of scores of national level entrance test first, next on the basis of HPCET scores and if the seats still remain vacant, then on the basis of marks of the qualifying exam.The university conducts HPCET for admission to its various programmes. Himachal Pradesh Technical University accepts the scores of JEE Main, GATE, GPAT, CAT, MAT, CMAT and other national-level management exams. Capgemini, Wipro, and Infosys etc., are the top recruiters.
