Yes, you are eligible for admission in St. Xaviers, Ranchi for BA English. Minimum eligibility to pursue this course is that candidate should have cleared class 12 exams with Mandatory Subject : English. Admissions are based on marks obtained in 10+2. If the SC rank is 9000, then there is no chance of getting MNIT in any branch. Even Metallurgy gets closed at SC rank 1200 here.

See, college can only provide you a platform now it's up to you that how you perform on the platform and what you learn from there. There are many non- IITian students who are better placed then some of the IITians. So, it's up to you that what you learn and implement it.
