Following are the basic requirements for admission for PG programmes at Central University of Kashmir:
Candidates must hold a Bachelors degree from an accredited institution with at least 50% overall or the equivalent on the relevant university grading scale.
Candidates must have a current score from exams such as the CUET, GATE, UGC-NET, SET, JEST, or JRF.

The Department of Students Welfare (DSW) and Central University of Kashmir (CUK) conducts an examination for coaching of civil services exams. Four Deputy DSWs are employed by the department, and they represent the university four campuses. They are Drs. Asif Khan, Ishrat Bashir, Faizan Ashraf Mir, and Mohammad Lateef Khaliq. These deputy DSWs manage the planning of different DSW initiatives.
