As an ST student I think you got a good percentage or score in JEE Mains and you can get any good NIT easily through it plus you say you are looking for it through home state quota, so your chance of getting there is pretty good or you can try college predictor on the basis of your JEE Score to get a better idea.

Hi Mehnaz,
With 84.4 percentile in JEE Mains your expected rank would be above 1-1.5 lakhs all over India which is quite low for getting admission in best colleges of India.
Good luck.

No, there is no such issue in this college about the security, as you are not often not allowed to go out of campus. And, if you want to get out of the campus, then you have to take permission for college and then they will allow you to go out with all the possible arrangements.

Hello Mehanaz,
If you are from Kashmir, then Srinagar becomes home state NIT. Percentile required will be higher. But, then you have obtained a very good percentile. I feel you should be able to get admission without any hassle. However to help you I am attaching a link that will predict college for you based on percentile. https://www.shiksha.com/b-tech/resources/jee-mains-college-predictor
Best wishes to you.
