Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University offers BTech across five specialisations. During SMVDU cutoff 2023, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 94017, for B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering was 227213, for B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering was 402493, for B.Tech. in Civil Engineering was 657668 and for B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering was 505053 for the General category All India seat. Hence, candidate with a rank of 1,35,000 in JEE Main can get a seat at SMVDU in all the specialisations except for BTech CSE as per the last year cutoff.

SMVDU offers a three-year/ four-year (including research)/ five-year integrated BSc Hons plus MSc programme at the UG level. SMVDU BSc Hons seats are alloted based on candidates's performance and scores obtained by them in the CUET UG exam. The total SMVDU BSc Hons seat intake for the five-year integrated BSc Hons programme across both specialisations is 90.

Candidates who wish to take admission to the BSc Hons programme offered at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are required to appear for an entrance examination. The University and its affiliated colleges accepts the scores of CUET UG. Therefore, Class 12 marks are not enough for SMVDU BSc Hons course admission.

SMVDU merit list is based on valid score of (CAT/MAT/Feb/May/CMAT 2024 along with score obtained in GD/PI in first phase. For vacant seats, score obtained in CUET (PG) 2024 by candidate along with score obtained in GD/PI will be considered. SMVDU BSc Hons admission are based on scores obtained by candidates in the CUET UG exam and CUET UG dates 2024 have been announced by the NTA. CUET 2024 exam for SMVDU BSc Hons is scheduled to be held from May 15 to May 24. Yes, you can easily get admission into Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University with 60% marks in class 12th. Many other courses offered by university requires 50% marks in class 12th. M.Tech at Tezpur university is better than M.Tech at SMVDU because the placements at Tezpur university provides much better options and salaries as compared to SMVDU.

The selection criteria for B.Tech. In Computer Science and Engineering change each year based on the cutoff percentiles in the JEE Mains examination and the number of seats available. The criteria may also vary for selection through the CUET examination. If we take an average, then the cutoff for computer Science is CRL 1.7 Lacs (approximately 75–80 percentiles). SMVDU conducts application process in two-phases. For Phase 1, the last date of closing of application forms for BTech / BArch / MSc/ MA courses is in May.  For BTech/BArch/BA/BSc/BBA, the opening date of application forms for Phase 2 are available estimately after 15 days of the declaration of results.

Visit to the admission portal of the University and fill out the registration form by following the given steps:

Candidates must then appear for CUET UG. The University, based on performance of candidates in the entrance exam publishes the merit list on SMVDU website and dispatch the provisional admission letters to the selected candidates.

Step 3: SMVDU BSc Hons Counselling Process 2024

Selected candidates must submit the consent letter for admission and participate in the counselling. After the document verification process, the admissions committee provides admission confirmation and candidates must submit the SMVDU BSc Hons fees 2024 which ranges between INR 3 Lacs and INR 4.01 lakh.

First of all, you must be eligible to go for the MBA course at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Its first criteria is you must have 50% aggregate in undergraduate degree or equivalent CGPA with valid MAT/CAT/CMAT score along with 10+2 with 50% aggregate.

SMVDU BSc Hons application forms were released by the University on Mar 26, 2024. Candidates seeking admission to the BSc Hons programme could have applied within a month. SMVDU BSc Hons deadline for applying to the BSc programme has now been elapsed for the year 2024. However, if candidates wish to apply for admission for the academic year 2025, then the application forms for the same are expected to be out in March next year.  

Merit-based admissions and entrance-based admissions are also done in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
