There are several eligibility requirements to be fulfilled to seek admission for an MBA course in IIT Dhanbad, which was known as ISM earlier. Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks. They will also then have to qualify with a score in the CAT (Common Admission Test), which is the sole basis for shortlisting candidates. As far as candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories are considered, they require a minimum of 55%.
Then comes the online application process through IIT Dhanbad's official website, which basically requires academic details and CAT scores. Later, the short-listed candidates are called for CA

Candidates have to complete summer internship during BIT Mesra MBA course. It is included in the course curriculum in the third semester. Candidates need to submit a certificate/report of the internship as well. The internship shall help candidates in understanding the work in the real world. It shall provide good exposure and practical knowledge.

BIT Mesra has a seat intake of 77 for the BSc in Mathematics and Computing programme. The seat allotment in this course is done based on JEE scores. In addition, 50% of the seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the state of Jharkhand and 50% for other state candidates. The mentioned seat intake is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative.

BIT Mesra conduct placements drive, wherein top companies make job offers to the students. Some of the recruiters that participate in the placements drive are Atlantis, Deloitte, Microsoft, etc. As per the verified students review on Shiksha, about 40% to 85% students get placed. Generally speaking, for a GATE score of 361, the chances for M.Tech in Structural Engineering at NIT Jamshedpur would depend on one's category admission and the cut-off marks for that specific year.
For a general category student the cut-off marks for Structural Engineering generally are quite high and range closer to 401 marks in the successive years. On the other hand, if you are belonging to any of OBC, SC or ST categories, then you may be able to make it, cut-offs are lower for these categories.
