The eligibility criteria for MTech course at IIT Dhanbad is Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent or a Master's degree in Science/Arts/Commerce with at least 60% aggregate or CGPA/CPI of 6.0 in 10 point scale (55% aggregate or 5.5 CGPA for SC/ST). Also, candidates need to clear the entrance exam for IIT Dhanbad MTech admissions. The entrance exams accepted is GATE.

The total tuition fee for the two-year MBA programme at BIT Mesra Lalpur is INR 5.28 lakh. The duration of the course is two years. Candidates are selected for the MBA programme at BIT Mesra Lalpur is based on CAT/ MAT/ XAT/ CMAT scores and their performance in GD and PI rounds.

The library of XLRI Jamshedpur was established in 1949. XLRI's library is well-equipped with a vast collection of study materials and various reference books. Postgraduate students are allowed to borrow a maximum of four books at a time for a period of ten days whereas Fellow students can borrow 10 books for a month. The college library is big and is one of the best college libraries present in India.
