- XISS is ranked AAA+ whereas NDIM is ranked AA+.
- Eligibility in XISS is three / four years bachelor's degree with minimum 55% marks in aggregate (50% for SC/ST) in any discipline recognized by Association of Indian Universities. Eligibility in NDIM is bachelor's degree(10+2+3 or 4) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grades.
- Both these colleges have an intake of 60 students for each course.
- Mode of admission for XISS are CMAT, CAT AND XAT whereas NDIM contains one more i.e UGAT-AIMA including the above modes.
-XISS contains a total faculty of 46 whereas NDIM has 76.

The two options you gave, I would advise you to go with electrical engineering at IIT(ISM) Dhanbad. It is because your branch matters and certainly electrical is much better than geophysical and electrical is core branch too.
Electrical engineering students at IIT(ISM), Dhanbad has got decent placements in past few years. Since we got the IIT tag last year only, the number of companies visiting the campus is bound to increase from here on. Also, non-core companies are visiting our campus for all branches such as Capgemini, Goldm

You need to check the opening and closing ranks of the previous years to get the idea whether you will get admission or not. Also, you should be very clear about the branch you would like to take admission into and check the ranks as per your choice.
