For B.Tech in Kanpur Institute of Technology, one should have a minimum of 45% in Class 12 (40% for SC/ST) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Admission is done through JEE Main or CUET scores by UPTAC counseling. Lateral entry is also provided to the candidates holding a Diploma directly into the second year.

Yes, Kanpur Institute of Technology also provides B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (Lateral Entry) for Diploma students. Candidates need to possess a relevant Diploma in engineering with 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST candidates). Admission will be given based on JEECUP rank and according to the UPTAC counseling process. The course permits students to join the course directly in the second year and gives industry-oriented training.

Hello Rishabh,Yes, you can take admission in B.Tech at PSIT Kanpur even if you have less than 60% in 10th and 12th, but this mostly depends on the specific eligibility criteria laid out by the institute for that year of admission. Many private colleges including PSIT grant admission mainly based on entrance exam score along with JEE Main or their own entrance test. Even some branches require less than 60%, but it will be best you check directly with the college for the latest criteria.
