Admissions of BCET bangalore are made through MAT (conducted by AIMA, New Delhi) or WB-JEMAT (conducted by the MAKAUT, Kolkata) qualifiers. Selections are made on the basis of academic performance plus score obtained at MAT or WB-JEMAT examination.

BCET-Bangalore college of Enginnering and technology provides scholarships for students who come from financially unstable backgrounds and scholarships are also available for students from reserved categories.other government scholarships can also be availed from the college itself. If Income lower than 1lakh then the entire fees is waived away to support the student financially

BTech is the most sought after course at BCET - Bangalore College of Engineering and Technology because of many reasons. The college is good. The faculty members are decent. Course curriculum is also relevant. But, the college lacks in placement. The average placement rate of the college in 20%.

It depends on the course in which the student is interested. Rural Engineering College offers only BTech, MTech, MCA, and PhD courses. Admission to the BTech courses at the college can be considered difficult as it is done based on the scores obtained in the COMEDK UGET exam. Admission to all other courses can be considered less difficult as it is done based on the scores obtained in the previous qualification.
