The admission process for these courses is as follows: For BTech courses- admission is based on the rank obtained in the KEAM conducted by the CEE, Kerala. Model Engineering College Thrikkakara Kochi conducts internal exams for each course as part of the internal assessment component of the academic evaluation. The internal assessment marks are based on assignments, quizzes, seminars, etc. The internal exams are usually conducted twice in a semester. The duration of each exam is one hour and the marks are 30. If a student fails in an internal exam, he or she will get zero marks for that exam and it will affect his or her internal assessment marks. The duration of each exam is one hour and the maximum marks are 30. The CGPA at Model Engineering College Thrikkakara Kochi calculated as follows:Each course in the curriculum has a certain number of credits assigned to it, depending on the contact hours, theory, practical, etc. The total number of credits for a B.Tech course is 180 and for an M.Tech course is 64. S grade for 90 and above percentage of marks, A grade for 85 to below 90, B grade for 80 to below 85, C grade for 70 to below 80, D grade for 60 to below 70, E grade for 50 to below 60, F grade for below 50.
