Hello Hermione, Always remember"Failure is never final". You can always get better by hard work. It's nice to see your aim of getting into IIST at Trivendrum. Eligibility for this is JEE Advanced and for that one needs 75% marks in 12th. However there are plenty of other good colleges with this branch. Instrumentation is still finding its scope in the nation . The branches whose needs are the most in Industry will attract the majority of students as well the high package. You can pursue instrumentation but getting a job at core branch at a good package is really difficult. You can go for Higher studies or off-branch for placements.

If after revaluation, your 12th Marks gets increased from 70% to 75%, then you will be getting IITs and IIST. Or you have to go for state-level Government Colleges or private Colleges in India.
