Candidates will be shortlisted for GD-PI-WAT on the basis of the admission test scores, prior academic performance and relevant work experience. At the time of personal interview, written, verbal and analytical abilities of the candidates would also be examined. Final selection of candidates for admission will be based on composite factors such as admission test scores, previous academic record, relevant work experience and performance in the personal interview, group discussion and WAT.
Merit based scholarships will be offered to a limited number of candidates with outstanding performance in the entire selection process.

KVT Professional Educations was recently established and is one of the renowned groups of companies and institution in Madurai. The institute has a lavish infrastructure with a neat and clean campus. KVT is also famous for its timely job fairs, which generate employment for its students and also part time jobs for enrolled students. FTIH offers two kinds of courses to its students: Professional and technical. It is a central institute and it is a much better known institute than KVT Professional Educations, and has a wider base of courses to choose from. It has received Best Institute for Acting and Media courses in Hyderabad from Pride of Indian Education award, 2016. It has also been awarded best Emerging Film Institute of Hyderabad award received by FTIH from SMF, 2016. Overall, rankings of FTIH surpass those of KVT Professional Educations, and is a better bet to pursue animation courses. Moreover, since KVT has been recently established, it is still growing as an institute, whereas FTIH was established early, and has much more experience in the animation industry, so it is a better bet.
