once you are done with BE from NIE Mysore, you can look out for various government jobs based on your specialisation and interest. These generally consist of PSUs such as BHEL, IOCL, ONGC, and NTPC, which hire people based on GATE exams, UPSC ESE for central government jobs, ISRO DRDO and SSC JE, state government engineering services and railways through the RRB JE and SSE, and banking sector specialist officer exams in IBPS and SBI, CDS and AFCAT for defense services. You can also enter teaching positions in government colleges via SET or NET ranks.

This implies that a rank in this range would make students eligible for BE admissions. However, students must also note that this cutoff range is based on closing rank data. As per the latest available data, the closing rank cutoff for the General-All India based on KCET scores ranged from 12747 to 103761. Moreover, the BE course with the highest competition was Electronics and Communication Engineering. Earlier, in 2023, the cutoff for the same category of students ranged from 9018 to 82211.
