In 2026, Leiden University QS ranking is #119. Whereas in 2025, this university ranked at #141. It can be seen that the university's ranking has improved in 2026. Also, as per Times Higher Education rankings, Leiden University world ranking is #73 in 2025. Also, as per U.S. News & World Report, this university ranks at #56 in 2025 globally.

Yes, Indian students as well as other international students outside the European Economic Area are eligible to apply for NL Scholarship. Students must be enrolled to a regular 2 year M.Sc degree. Generally the application deadline to apply is in the month of February. Students can avail a maximum of three merit-based scholarships. General documents required to be submitted along with the application are mentioned below:

  • M.Sc application to be submitted.

  • Two reference letters

  • English Proficiency Scores
