B.Tech Civil engineering in Patna: The key governmental institutions are National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna. Also, Bakhtiyarpur College of Engineering (BCE), Patna is a governmental engineering institution situated in the Patna district. Other engineering colleges under government such as Government Engineering College, Bhojpur and Government Engineering College, Buxar also lie quite near Patna.

To secure a seat in the best BCA colleges in Patna like the teams belonging to Patna University (such as the Patna Women College, BN College, etc.) or Magadh University, one generally requires passing 12 th (10+2) with 45-55 percent usually with Math or Statistics. The colleges affiliated with the Patna University tend to have their admission based, most of the time on a university specific admission examination such as PUCET. The expected cutoff for OBC category students for admission to IIT Patna is 1100-1200 according to some information. But the official cutoff can be checked on their website.
