Firstly, It depends upon the cutoff marks for your shortlisting in these branches. To get an idea, please go through this link:

For the understanding of the difference, between the two branches, both have origin in Electrical Engineering. Yes, the M.Sc Degree of BITS Pilani is accredited by UGC and after pursuing this you are eligible to write the NET exam. However, the duration of the course is 5 years.

The M.Sc. Economics course is a bit different from the other Masters of Economics courses. It is an Integrated First Degree course in which you can take admission after 12th Standard and appearing for BITSAT Exam. The eligibility criteria for BITSAT is "Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) and adequate proficiency in English. You can bring your brother to sign the loan application to campus. I think SBI offers the loan with minimum interest at 10.15%. However, it would be better if you explore more options at your end.
