The B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) program at LPU usually wraps together subjects around textile science, garment construction, pattern making, apparel production technology, textile processing, quality management, merchandising, industrial engineering , supply chain management , fashion forecasting, product development, and apparel manufacturing systems. During the course, students end up doing practical lab sessions too, plus industry projects, internships and training aimed at modern production techniques, day to day work style.

Yeah, so students doing B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) at LPU get to see, textile technology along with merchandising in their syllabus, sort of in the same mix. In the course they cover things like textile fibers and fabrics , garment manufacturing processes, quality assurance, apparel production technology, merchandising, sourcing, and also supply chain management plus product development. Because of this combo, they end up understanding not only how garments are made, but also how those garments are planned, sourced, marketed, and finally sent to consumers. In general, this type of industry backed training gives graduates a chance to

The key difference is that B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) at LPU tends to lean more toward the technical and manufacturing side of the fashion industry, while fashion designing courses are more about the creative part, the whole design concept, illustration, styling, and yeah trend forecasting. In B.F.Tech, students end up learning garment production, apparel technology, quality control, industrial engineering, merchandising, supply chain management, and all the manufacturing processes.

So this program is usually best for learners who want a career in apparel production, export houses, sourcing, merchandising, and factory management, no

Yes , B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) at LPU feels like a really good fit for students who are more into fashion manufacturing and that whole apparel industry workflow, not just fashion designing alone. This course kind of leans into garment production, manufacturing technology, quality management, merchandising, supply chain operations, and production planning . Students also get practical exposure via labs, industry training, internships, and projects, so they can see the real way fashion products travel from idea stage, to big scale production. And if someone is aiming for jobs in apparel manufacturing, export houses, retail sourcing,

Yes, internships are a big deal in the B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) curriculum at LPU. The whole program leans on industry exposure, so you do internships, industrial training, live projects factory visits, and you get to interact with professionals from the apparel , and textile sectors too. Through all this, students can actually map what they learn in class onto real world production environments, and in turn build practical know-how in garment manufacturing, quality control, merchandising, sourcing, and supply chain management. In other words, this kind of exposure does more than just improve learning, it also adds weight to stude

Once students finish B.F.Tech (Apparel Production) from LPU, they can look into jobs and growth in the apparel , fashion manufacturing, retailing, merchandising, and textile spaces. You'll usually see openings for Production Executive, Quality Assurance Executive, Merchandiser, Apparel Technologist, Sourcing Coordinator, Supply Chain Executive, Product Development Associate and Retail Operations Manager, or similar titles like that. LPU kind of stresses industry training, internships , and practical exposure , so learners get that real world kind of practice before graduation not just theory.

Afterward graduates may find opportun

Both are really good institutions, but I had to choose, so I would lean towards Lovely Professional University – Computer Science (CSE)

  • More job opportunities (especially IT/software sector)
  • High chances of placement if you learn coding + skills
  • Big campus, lots of exposure, competitions, internships
  • But competition is very high (many students)

Better for software jobs and future tech careers

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology – Mechanical Engineering

  • Strong brand name (very reputed engineering college)
  • Good academic quality and discipline
  • Mechanical branch is core engineering (design, manufacturing, machines)
  • Placements a
