No, Law is not listed as a compulsory Class 12 subject for BBA LL.B. at LPU. The current eligibility criteria require 60% aggregate in 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics and English, along with qualifying LPUNEST, JEE Main or CUET. So, students from different streams can consider the programme as long as they meet the stated subject and marks requirements.

If you're checking B.Tech placements at Punjabi University Patiala, I'd say don't judge only by the highest package. The university does have a placement and career support system, and B.Tech students do get opportunities through companies visiting the campus.
But if placements and industry exposure are your main priorities, I would also consider LPU. LPU has a much larger placement ecosystem, with companies like Microsoft, Amazon, TCS, Accenture and Capgemini visiting for recruitment. There are also opportunities for internships, training and industry interaction.

Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) is a top-ranked, high-performing national university that is quite competitive with Tier 1 colleges. It is accredited by NAAC with 'A+' Grade. It is ranked 46th for Management and 29th for Engineering, as per NIRF Rankings 2025.
