Candidates must apply for NIT Raipur by first qualifying GATE with a good score. Hereafter, he/she must apply and appear for CCMT Counselling for final seta allotment. This is followed by the payment of course fee to confirm one's seat in the course.

No, NIT Raipur does not offer any home state quota reservation for MSc students. The admission to the MSc course is completely done by IIT JAM and CCMN counselling scores/ ranks. Additionally, the institute only offers seat reservations for reserved categories as per the reservation policies of the Government of India. Hence, there is no separate quota for home-state candidates in this process.
Seat Availability: It also depends on the seat availability in the specific MSc specialisation for which a candidate has applied.

To get admission into MSc courses at NIT Raipur, candidates are required to complete certain eligibility criteria, from which the first one is candidates must complete their BSc degrees with PCM as the subject. Secondly, candidates must maintain the minimum aggregate required by the institute- 60% for the general category and 55% for reserved categories. Hence, to get admission candidates must complete their BSc degree with decent scores.

The National Institute of Technology Raipur admits students to the MSc course on the basis of valid IIT JAM scores. Based on the entrance test scores, candidates are then called for the CCMN (Centralised Counselling) process for admission to the MSc course. NIT Raipur offers a total number of 60 seats for MSc courses, and the course is offered in three specialisations- Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. The number of seats is equally divided among each MSc specialisation which means each speciaslaition has 20 seats. To get these seats, candidates must complete their BSc graduation and achieve relevant scores in IIT JAM.
