NIT Raipur M.Tech admission is completely entrance-based and depends on candidates' performance in the GATE, a national-level entrance test for M.Tech admission. 

The National Institute of Technology Raipur admits students to the M.Tech course on the basis of valid Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) scores.  Students applying for the National Institute of Technology Raipur MCA course must have passed a three-year degree or equivalent degree from a recognised University/Institute with a minimum aggregate of 60% (of all the years) or an equivalent CGPA of 6.5/10. In the case of SC/ST candidates, 55% aggregate marks (of all the years) or an equivalent CGPA of 6.0/10 is the eligibility requirement.
