Mewar University is an autonomous entity established by the Government of Rajasthan under Act No. 4 of 2009, passed by the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly. Mewar University is supported by the Mewar Education Society (MES). It is governed by a Board of Management which is appointed by the Mewar Education Society (MES).
