Ranchi University admissions can be divided into three stages. The admission process commences with the application stage. All candidates seeking admission apply for the preferred BCom course by submitting an application form. After the application portal is closed, the university shortlists students based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination.

Ranchi University BCom seat allocation is subject to reservation policy. As per the policy, 50% of seats are to be filled purely based on merit. The remaining 50% of seats are to be allocated to students belonging to the reserved categories. Mentioned below is the breakdown as per the Ranchi University BCom seat reservation policy:

The total seats offered for B.E. / B.Tech at Cambridge Institute of Technology, K R Puram and PES College of Engineering are 900 and 880, respectively. While Cambridge Institute of Technology, K R Puram offers this course in 8 specialisations, PES College of Engineering offers the same in 15 specialisations. Hence, there are higher chances of getting a seat at Cambridge Institute of Technology, K R Puram due to higher seats.
