50% is minimum for general category students and 45% is required for reserved category students. If you have teaching experience, then you may be preferred. So, you can try accordingly.

Both courses are good. It depends on your career priority which one you choose first. If you want to teach the students of the primary school, B.Ed is good, but if you are looking for high school and college level then M.Sc is also a good option.
