No, there are no shifts; only regular college timings. You need to score at least 50% marks in aggregate in order to be eligible for admission.

The last year opening and closing ranks at NIT, Trichy in B.Tech CSE in your category were 672 and 1624 (under home state quota) respectively. Hence, you have to score above 200 marks in JEE-Main.

You're only aiming for NIT Trichy? Why not IITs or other private institutions? How can you expect results without working hard for it?
Another thing: are you okay with getting into NITT, but into chemical or metallurgy, and get a 4 Lacs job? NIT fees are going to be hiked to almost 2 Lacs per year without hostel. Is it okay with you?
If you have the passion for those subjects and don't mind the salary, then it's fine. But I get this question from juniors who ask this question based on some placement surveys, so I don't know how you are any different. Mind you, only CS EC & EE get good salaries for core jobs.
Placements are in bad shape

No it maybe difficult for you to get admission in NIT Trichy as cut off is quite high in NITs but it also depends on your interest which stream you are going to choose,if for example you want CSE then it may be difficult for you to get seat but if you choose stream such as biotechnology or textile then there may be chance for you to take admission but don't worry as there is second chance in which you can improve your scores.
