If we see the MHRD ranking for engineering colleges NIT, Trichy stands at 11th rank while NIT, Warangal stands at 22nd rank. Coming to the CSE department, the curriculum of both the colleges is similar. The faculty in both the colleges is comparable as they follow government rules for recruitment of professors. According to me, the industry as such sees NIT-Trichy's students as more employable than that of NIT-Surathkal's. Some people may disagree. The selection process of BIM Tiruchirappalli consists of following stages:
1. Shortlisting of candidates based on CAT scores
2. Personal Interview (PI) and Group Discussion (GD) for shortlisted candidates. Candidates will be shortlisted for the second stage mentioned above based on CAT score of the applicants. Academic performance of the candidate in 10th standard, 12th standard, qualifying degree and relevant work experience are the other components which are verified and given weightage during the second stage of the
