Yes, Grand Valley State University offers a variety of housing options to international students. The university offers traditional-style living centers, cluster-style living centers, suite-style living centers, one-bedroom apartment styel, and two-bedroom apartment style. Features of various styles of living are given below.
| Style of Living | Features |
|---|---|
| Traditional-style | Traditional-style living centers are co-ed living centers for first-year students. These buildings provide the traditional, or "true" college experience, fostering a relationship-building sense of community. |
| Cluster-style | Similar to traditional-style, cluster-style fosters a sense of community and residents quickly form relationships with each other. It’s common to see room doors propped open, hear music playing, residents chatting across the hall, and hanging out or studying in the lounges. |
| Suite-style | Suite-style units consist of two students per room, and four students per suite with a shared bathroom, reserved for freshmen. Two residents share a double fully furnished room with a sink. |
| One-bedroom apartment style | One-bedroom apartment-style units are reserved for first-year students. Each unit comes fully furnished and features a private bathroom with a kitchenette. While residents still share their bedroom/living space, they get more privacy and flexibility than cluster or traditional-style. |
| Two-bedroom apartment style | Two-bedroom apartment-style units are also available to first-year students. These buildings allow students to have their own private bedrooms but still get fully immersed in the college experience. |
