You won't get admission in VIT through board results. You need to attempt VITEEE and through which only, you will get an admission.

Doing B.Tech in other colleges is better than doing M.Tech in VIT because trust me, VIT's M.Tech is not that good to invest your time and money for M.Tech. I would suggest you take another college with B.Tech.

Yes, you can get a good package by doing M.Tech in VIT. You will have to put in your normal efforts and a few extra efforts in the end and it will be okay for you.

I would suggest you confirm VIT for CS. It is one of the best in the market. You will get a good college and a superb campus along with great faculty members. It will help you develop yourself overall!

Yes, it totally depends on you if you want to prepare or not. There are several extra opportunities inside and outside VIT for GATE preparation. You will get a platform to improve yourself and prepare for GATE level.

I would suggest you take VIT Vellore. I am myself in VIT's CSE with spec. in bioinformatics. The course stream is good with a lot of future opportunities and even the campus provides a lot of extra opportunities. You will also be taught by some of the best faculty members in the country. The only thing about VIT is its strict rules.

Due to security reasons, only final year students are allowed to stay out of hostels. There have been some criminal incidents due to which this rule is brought into effect. You can stay out if your parents visit the Dean office once a month to vouch for you.

VIT is one of the best colleges for studies, campus, faculty members, extra activities and overall development. I am pretty sure you won't get another college with so much more to explore.
