The eligibility criteria for BCA in VIT is that the candidate should have at least 60 percent on class 12th. Also, the candidate's D. O. B falls on or after 1st July 2000.

The XAT percentile above 70 can be safe for admission in VITBS. So your chances are very less.

The VIT Vellore fee for B.Tech CSE first year in year 2019 was about Rs 198000/ for first year. While from the next year you have to pay Rs 195000/. + Hostel and Mess fee.

Eligibility:
10+2 with Mathematics/ Accountancy or Commerce as one of the main subjects with 70% marks in aggregate (60% for SC/ST/ Jammu & Kashmir and North-Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura). admissions are based on merit base, followed by counseling.

It depends upon the college and its admission process. If you have admissions based on cutoff then as much as 99% and if admissions are based on entrance exams then you need to be in the top 100 ranks.

For general category students, the cut off for B.Com can go as high as 98-99%, and if you are Christian, then there might be some relaxation, but you will have to check the website for exact previous years' cutoffs.
also there are no free seats for the general category students.
