No, a student scoring less that 60% in their bachelor's degree is not eligible to apply for MCA admission at Jadavpur University if they belong to the general/unreserved category. For candidates belonging to the general category, the minimum marks required in the UG degree is 60%. However, for the candidates belonging to the reserved categories (SC/ST) the minimum aggregate required in graduation is 45%. The selection is based on the scores of WEBJEE JECA. In case a candidate fails to get admission at Jadavpur University, they can check out other colleges offering MCA. They can check out the colleges offering Online MCA courses.

As per Jadavpur University cutoff 2023, CUET PG Round 1 scores for Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.) stood at 1, for Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.) at 37.73, Master of Library and Information Science in Digital Library at 36.98, for M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication (Day) at 60 and for MPharma (all specialisations) stood at 77.95. Jadavpur University offers a 4 years B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering course at the UG level. The total tuition fee for this course at Jadavpur university is INR 20840 for the entire duration of the course. Apart from the tuition fee, students are also required to pay a hostel fee of INR 1200.

To be eligible for admission to MA programs at Jadavpur University, applicants must meet the following common criteria:

  • Have completed a 3-year Bachelor's degree in any stream from a recognised university
  • Obtain at least 50% marks (45% for PD/OBC-A/OBC-B category and 40% for SC/ST category) in Honours/Major papers
  • In case Honours/Major is not specified/mentioned in the mark-sheet, the applicant is not eligible
  • For candidates under SC/ST category from states other than West Bengal, they must produce a domicile certificate for residing in West Bengal for at least 10 years issued by the competent authority
  • For candidates under OBC-A and OBC-B

No, admission to PG-level courses at the university is solely contingent upon a candidate's performance on the WBJEE JECA exam. According to data from numerous outside sources, Jadavpur University does not have a management quota. Direct admissions are therefore not possible. However, candidates are urged to contact the university admission office for further information about the same.

The provisional merit list for the BE (5-year) programmes for working professionals in 2023 had to be released on September 5th, and the dates for the selected candidates' physical verification and provisional admission were set for September 8 and September 9. Additionally, the five-year BE/BTech programme for WP will start classes on September 18.
