Faculty is good but placement and classes are below average.
Placements: Approximately 19 percent of students got placed from my course. The lowest package is 2.3 LPA, the highest is 7 LPA-8 LPA, but the average is around 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. Almost 60 percent of students get into internships (online and offline) at PayPal, Agoda, CSG, Electronic Arts, etc. Top roles are software engineer, backend developer, and graphic designer.
Infrastructure: There is free Wi-Fi in the college, all labs are available and running, but some machines need to be prepared. The library is pretty good with a proper librarian and books, classrooms are well-lit, and there are both blackboards and digital screens. ( Non AC). The hostel is only for 3rd and 4th years, with proper water and food. Food quality is decent. Mess and canteen provide read, price, vegetarian, and non-vegetarian food options. Medical facilities are average. The hospital is 3km away from the campus. Sports culture is very good. Football, cricket, badminton, and volleyball are regularly practiced in the grounds.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable, 80 percent of them give excellent lectures. Curriculum is pretty relevant, but some subjects like Biology and English are completely unnecessary. Semester exams are difficult, but enough study can clear them easily. The pass percentage is 40 percent.

Entirely a government college so who cannot afford money for private colleges can take admission.
Placements: As this college started in 2016 i.e. not old so, placements were not good. But some famous companies like TCS, Mahindra, L&T, etc., visited to hire students. Percentage of placements will be 30%. The highest salary package offered was 8 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Around 10% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure was not good. Classrooms were not good. Wi-Fi was available in classrooms but speed was very slow. Library was also very big but collection of books was not so much. Hostels were in good condition. Food quality was very good.
Faculty: Professors were very much helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They always support students in every situation. Teaching quality of professors was also very good. Semester exams were conducted smoothly, and question papers were from MAKAUT University.
Other: I chose this college because it's a fully government engineering college. Events, fests, and all types of functions were conducted by collecting amounts from students every year.

Perfect college in West Bengal.
Placements: Top companies like Cognizent, Teachnook, and L&T come to our college for recruiting. Their average salary offer is around 5 LPA, with the highest being 12 LPA and the lowest being 2.1 LPA. Our college has a very hard-working Training and Placement Office (TPO) that helps students get jobs. Every year, around 80% of our students get jobs on campus.
Infrastructure: The campus has full wifi. The classrooms are spacious and have projectors and blackboards. The labs are also spacious, and all the systems work properly. The hostel rooms are large, and there are 22 washrooms on each floor. There is no ragging, and the mess food is good.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and supportive. They are also very knowledgeable and qualified. Their teaching quality is very impacting. They complete the syllabus 1-2 months before the exam. Our college is affiliated with Makaut University. There are four CA exams and two semesters.

CGEC review by 2024 batch (CSE).
Placements: The college is very poor if you consider on-campus placement. In 2024, not a single company visited our campus. But many students get placed off-campus. The highest package in our batch was 9 LPA, and the average was 3-4 LPA. 10-15 students got off-campus placement out of 62 students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was not so good because it's a new college. An efficient amount of classrooms are there. There is only one library, but there are no relevant books in that. The canteen is present on campus but has been close since 2-3 years.
Faculty: Faculty is average. The course curriculum is outdated and needs improvement according to recent technology. There are 4 CA exams in which you can score easily and a final semester exam. You can easily get good marks in these semester exams if you study well for 7 days before the exam.

CGEC: a hub of learning and experience.
Placements: Coochbehar Government Engineering College is good in academics but the placement rate is not so good. Every year, almost 250 students pass, but a maximum 20 students are placed in placement. Due to the lack of importance given to the responsible officer, more than 85% of students do not have a job.
Infrastructure: B.Tech is a 4-year and 8-semester course and in Coochbehar Government Engineering College, we have 4 hostels, of which 3 are for boys and 1 for girls but only 1 boys hostel is in a running situation and the other 2 hostels are close for which students have to face difficulties.
Faculty: The faculty members of Coochbehar Government Engineering College are well educated and experienced; most of them have Ph.D.s or other advanced degrees from most reputable institutes. The curriculum is highly relevant, comprehensive and aligns perfectly with the industry requirements.
