You will have to give JEE advance for this purpose. Admissions for any kind of engineering are not done on the basis of CET but it is done on the basis of JEE especially if you are looking for a well reputed college.

Colleges or institutions in Mumbai can be catagories as Govt, private, CGFI, IIT or Private University. You need to appear for and clear only three exams. MHT CET, IIT Mains and IIT Advanced to get admission to any one of the college.

Different people define the difference differently. But in the simplest term computer science means software and computer engineering means hardware and software.

But with good work experience and an M.Tech in CSE or any specialization you can earn around 10-20 lakhs per annum easily.

Firstly, you complete your 12th with a good percentage, prepare for competitive exam like JEE, SRMJEE, VITEE, etc. You select B.Tech in CSE, you easily become a software engineer.

You can pursue MCA.
But,
You can not become software engineer unless you have passed your 12th class with compulsory subjects like physics and mathematics.
You can join MCA only if you have studied maths /business maths /statistics in your class 12th plus you are graduate in any discipline from recognized university.
MCA (Masters in computer application) is 2/3 year degree course offered by many university.
If you want to study MCA, you have to clear the entrance examination conduct by reputed institutions.
