Placement wise, I think CSE is the best branch to go for. But even for EEE offered by the main campus about 70 percent of the students are already placed. Choose the branch that suits your interest, placements are always relative.

I will prefer you to opt for the EC branch as there you will find more interesting things than the CS branch, as the scope of EC is growing rapidly and you after the completion of your graduation you can easily find a decent job in this field.

Both are equivalently good sectors. To be precise ECE is better than CSE, also CSE course will be easy throughout your 4 years but ECE will be very tough. Any branch that is integrated with electronics is named as an evergreen branch of engineering.

Chitkara University is more famous for its Rajpura Campus. By saying famous it means that there is more scope as to placements are concerned. Baddi campus is more of the engineering field, but the Rajpura campus has taken over that position. The faculty, academics, extra curricular activities carried out are amazing.

Big companies don't come to colleges for placements, because they are very professional and reputed companies, they cannot hire any fresher just on the basis of college test, GD and PI. Also, they need some high skilled people for their companies, if you have those skills you can surely apply for these companies, also these companies have their own exams for certification like Codvita, Codejam etc. If you clear this exams you will get a direct call for interview from big companies such as Google or TCS and lastly about a Lacs salary, so clear these exams you will get 6 to 15 Lacs packages. All the best.
