Computer Science and Engineering Placement

If you like computer, want to build crazy application or something related to software go with Computer Science engineering. If you like playing with machines/motors or electricity go ahead with Mechanical engineering. Or Electrical engineering. If you are India, after studying Electronics and communication engineering most of the students gets job/work in IT companies. Only few percent gets chance in electronics companies. So I would suggest, better to study Computer Science engineering. If you want to sail through vast sea go with Marine engineering. If you have not decided what you want to do after B.Tech, sit for one or two days and decided what you want to do. If still confused, select any of the engineering mentioned in point # 1, 2 and 3 (Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics). .

Around 90-95% of students from CSE/IT department gets placed in some or the other companies. The package could be as low as 2.8 Lacs or it could be high as 25 Lacs (although only 2 students got that in the entire history), but students at least got a job. Most of the companies which visit the campus are CSE or IT companies so these two branches have a huge number of opportunities here.

According to the National Institute Ranking Framework, NIT-Warangal ranks 34th among the engineering colleges in India. For Computer Science Engineering, last time (2016-17) out of 108 students who applied to placements from CSE department, 107 students were placed meaning 90.1 percent placement for CSE which is quite an impressive number.
