When I was exploring good options for CSE after IITs, Chandigarh University stood out to me. It's one of the few private universities in India with ABET and NBA accreditation for its CSE program, which says a lot about the global standard they maintain.
They've been ranked as India's No.1 private university in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, and the campus has a strong tech culture—labs sponsored by Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Red Hat, and more. There are plenty of hackathons, coding competitions, and chances to work on live projects.
Placements are also amazing. Some students land packages of INR 50+ LPA in top companies. And

No, you cannot pursue B.Tech in CSE (Computer Science and Engineering) through the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) in most cases.
Here's why:
CUET is primarily used for admission to undergraduate courses in central and some state/private universities, especially for BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, etc.
Engineering courses like B.Tech (especially in top colleges like NITs, IITs, IIITs, and most state engineering colleges) admit students based on JEE Main or state-level entrance exams, not cuet !

The M.Tech CSE syllabus lays emphasis on both the theoretical aspect and the practical understanding of important CSE concepts. In the first year you'll be exposed to the foundational knowledge needed to excel at the workplace while the second year focuses more on the practical side of things like research projects and informative seminars. All in all, it would be a fun ride for you if you have the right attitude and passion towards the CSE field.

The clear answer is no. The syllabus for MTech in Computer Science Engineering varies from one college to another. Every college abides by a certain coursework guideline decided by the college committee at the beginning of the academic year. Generally speaking, the syllabus includes some core subjects, elective subject choices, laboratory classes, and project work.
Though the subjects might vary, the basic concepts taught in the classes are almost similar, covering all the fundamental knowledge and advanced-level CSE concepts that give you a comprehensive understanding of the field.
