If you are going for USA/Australia, then I would recommend you to go for web development and iOS, because majority of their audience use phones. So, you'll be able to create apps for your local audience at that time of your master's degree. Android is majorly used in countries like India and Brazil.

Yes, BCA is a 3 year technical course and a candidate must pursue this course through regular college and not from distance education. Companies tend to hire those candidates who have done their degree course by taking regular classes/lectures and not of open schooling.

If you are from Science background then B.Tech in CSE or IT should be your top priority. Or if you are from Commerce/Arts background then BCA is the best option as compared to B.Sc. Because BCA is a technical course whereas B.Sc. Is a general course. Therefore, the chances of getting a placement job is relatively higher in BCA than B.Sc. All 3 courses stated above can provide you a way to be a Software Engineer. If you want to learn programming languages which you will be studying in your BCA course then you can check out this app which is specially designed and developed for BCA students. That is an interesting choice. I assume, you have computers and/or Maths in your subject choice in class 12th. You haven't given your marks, not have you mentioned if you are interested in degree or Diploma. Computers usually has a higher cut off than other courses but there is a variation between 50% (pathway Diploma) to 95% (for top universities). It depends on your marks and your budget. Big universities like Toronto, Waterloo, Alberta have higher cut off. Smaller universities like Memorial, Winnipeg have lower cut off. Colleges mentioned by previous user offer good applied degrees and Diplomas.

You always need to have basic for everything you do. It is not your jumping into grammar without any knowledge about alphabets. Indian education is applauded and students out of country come to pursue BCA studies here. Nothing is outdated, everything has its value in the journey of learning.
