When you're getting admission in Thapar for such a great course, why go anywhere else? M.E. CAD/CAM Engineering in Thapar is pretty great, and comes with good faculty, good crowd, good curriculum and so on. MCA is not so tough. Being a B.Sc. Student, you can easily cope with it and for some of tough subjects, you can join a coaching and it will ease all your problem.

The eligibility criteria for MCA programme from IGNOU is as under. Eligibility:- Any Bachelors degree of minimum 3 (three) year duration from a recognised University AND Mathematics as one of the subject at 10+2 level or graduation level. Minimum Duration: 3 Years Maximum Duration: 6 Years Min

Yes, you are completely eligible for it. But some universities have different rules so you will have to check from Admission office of your university.
