Admission to Cooch Behar Government Engineering College is moderately competitive mainly depending on your JEE Main or WBJEE rank and category.
Top branches like CSE and ECE usually require a pretty high WBJEE score around 50000 to 70000 for General category candidates so you need a mid-to-upper-level rank. Branches such as Civil and Mechanical tend to have higher closing ranks. Cutoffs are somewhat relaxed for students belonging to reserved categories generally nationwide.

Mess food at Cooch Behar Government Engineering College CGEC is pretty decent and rather hygienic for students mostly. Reviews highlight meals served decently in clean environments with fairly varied nutritional value. Students manage a system or mess committee which helps maintain quality fairly effectively under normal circumstances. Food here generally meets expectations and contributes very positively towards life at this somewhat quirky hostel.
