Dear Karan,
To become an education counselor, you should have passion for education and patience in your nature.
You can start your education with BA in psychology then you can pursue MA in counseling psychology. Even with any stream knowledge up to its masters degree, you can start doing counseling but for that, you should have a thorough knowledge of different programmes.
Pitch a right programme to one person with his/her caliber, passion and interest is a challenge and skill but that approach would come in you over the years of experience and knowledge.
All the best.

Dear
As per your query, you can consider BA in psychology programme but for that, even every good university require minimum 50 percentage in your class 12th.
So accordingly you are not eligible for this programme. You need to check others options or try for distance mode education in the same domain.
All the best

The duration of the course varies from 1- 2 years. Those having a graduation in psychology can opt for PG Diploma courses. Deemed University is a status granted to high performing institutes and departments of various universities by the Ministry of Human Resource Development on the advice of UGC. The private Universities are established with state governments approvals.
The main difference between a private and a deemed university is that, a deemed university is more free and flexible as compared to the Private Universities in their syllabus, course content etc. Dome Deemed and private Universities may have similar facilities and faculty. You must compare Universities based on ranking not on whether they are private or deemed.
